Skyfall.....!

If you haven't seen Skyfall yet, git out there and do it now!  I was not expecting to be too impressed since I am more of a fan of the Sean Connery-era James Bond but this was very well done.

Now one always associates James bond with class and elegance. The quintessential well-mannered man with undeniable sex appeal. His refined tastes for martinis and cufflinks made him the man men wanted to be, and women wanted to be with.  And seeing as Mercedes always jumps at the chance to cross-dress, we thought it might be a great idea to showcase our Bond-ish items in stock....

 

All this Betty needs is a silver Aston Martin beside her to complete her Bond look.  Looking sharp in that Scotch and Soda linen charcoal suit, girl!

 

 

This is also a reminder to you ladies that the Men's section at Betty's is not strictly off limits!  Don't be scared to poke around in there, Annie Hall....

 

Several of the classic characters such as Q and Moneypenny resurfaced for this special 50th anniversy Bond film.  I love Q as a hipster computer nerd...

 

The resemblance is striking, no?  Mercedes makes a great Q in an Obey cardigan and Pendleton tie with some faux smart guy glasses.

Of course we have to mention the sultry Bond girl....that dress! Those lips! That vague foreign accent!  

 

 

We think Mercedes makes a great Bond girl in this wine colored dress from Peppermint.  Those who have seen the film will understand her dramatic rendition of this scene...

 

Basically to sum it up, Daniel Craig is hot and so is everyone else (even Dame Judi Dench) and it's just freaking good.  So anyone (i.e. everyone) in need of a little escapism this Holiday season should get their butts down to the cinema to catch this awesome Bond flick!
