CRISP.

First of all, THANK YOU to the wonderful person(s) who anonymously left the most special publication on mens fashion in our magazine rack sometime in the last month. I discovered MAN ALIVE last week and had to ooh and aaah over every single page of magic with the ladies here. I cannot express how pleased I am. Whoever you are, you have a keen eye and a strong knowledge of my sense of humor...
This dashing young moist beach-goer is just a sample of the beauty within Man Alive. Speaking of beachy Mens fashion...we just spruced up ManPlanet with so many nautical shirts, shorts, trousers and tanks from OBEY, RVCA and WESC that we look like a tourist shop on Nantucket! I just wish we had those man-capri's as well....
Oops...this page is upside down! But, you get the picture. Hours of entertainment awaits any Betty's customer who feels like picking up this mag while hanging out in the shoe section.
Man Alive is all about the "Crisp" look for the modern man. And now, because of that generous and mysterious donation we received, so are we at Betty's! Crisp can be preppy. It can be vintage western. It can be nautical. Crisp is exactly what these selvage denim man jeans by Big Star are:
They look so crisp on the shelf that most men are afraid to try them on! But once they do, their crisp, vintage cuffed-at-the-bottom style is impossible to pass up! Oh..and what exactly is "selvage denim" you ask?
Only the finest jeans are made of selvage denim. Selvage denim is made on old-style shuttle looms rather than modern, projectile looms. In simple terms, this means during the fabric weaving process, the cross-thread goes back and forth as one continuous thread, rather than as individual threads for each cross weave. As a result, selvage denim has a clean edge. Modern, single thread weaving has a frayed edge.
So remember men of Missoula....go CRISP this Spring!
