stackable polka players...
saurerkraut, relish, radish salad, sausage, schnitzel...
birthday songs...
three girls pretending to be German...
and spanking by a girl in an adorable Germain uniform! The spanking made me cry it was so hard.
Another great place in Vegas is the Peppermill. It's a sweet Old Vegas-style diner with a little something for everyone!
We love going there for breakfast, and you can see why by this fresh fruit platter!
The waitresses at the Peppermill have great uniforms too, as you may recall from one of our previous blogs. We just love uniforms...
Then there's Bottega Louie's in LA!!!! We decided that this is the Betty's equivalent in the food industry...They've got great, personal, one-on-one service amidst a crazy busy environment. The food is absolutely amazing and you leave feeling so happy.
As part of our eating we do lot's of visual investigative fashion research. Here we saw a Justin Bieber haircut! We then realized that Aimee kind of has a Justine Beiber haircut...
They're famous for their pizza and portabella fries. Yum! Pizza is definitley one of the star dishes for Los Angelenos!
Don't forget that bottle of Argentine wine!
We ate it all but one lil' slice that we gobbled up later. This happy, rainbow umbrella sheltered us in the torrential rains we experienced on the way home.
We finally found the long-sought-after 7th & Grand, a great whiskey bar that we've tried to find before...right across the street from Bottega Louie's!
Any kind of whiskey you could wish for...like 200 different varieties from around the world. Lael and Aimee's dream come true.
And we felt right at home in the hunting lodge atmosphere.
Then there's the Santa Monica Farmers' Market!!!
The colors, the variety, the smells...we were in heaven! This is their March harvest!!!
Combined we smuggled about 20lbs. of produce back to Winter-y Missoula! The fresh artichokes were particularly delightful...so were the pixie tangerines, fresh nuts and dates, buffalo mozzerella, lemon peeled stuffed olive......
The air was fragrant with freshly blooming calla lillies and jasmine galore!
Ahhh....citrus fruits were the highlights of the trip!
It's a bar and lounge in the old downtown LA Power company...I don't have words to explain how amazing it is in that place-perhaps you can tell by Aimee's expression below!
And the food and drink! Shrimp and grits...truffle Mac and Cheese, cocktails with rose water and absinthe and the Brazilian National liquor that we can't spell so won't write here...
