Here's my bro-in-law taking his victory lap around the arena at The Pendleton Round Up last weekend. He won the bareback all-around. The Pendleton Round Up is the oldest and most iconic rodeo in the US. I highly recommend driving the 6 hours to this quaint Eastern Oregon town and attending.
Let'er Buck, Bobby Mote. That's what they would say in Pendleton. And then they would drink some whiskey. My kind of people.
And once again....for Fall/Winter of 2012, you can find Pendleton Woolen Mill's The Portland Collection exclusively at Betty's Divine. This means:
classic, vintage-inspired Pendleton woolens and prints
+
on fabrics woven exclusively at Pendletons' Northwest mills and apparel produced in the US
+
on shirts, skirts, and sweaters designed by a collective of small, hipster, progressive designers in Portland, Oregon
The result:
A fit and feel that is a hell of a lot better than the old Pendleton fishing plaid you scored at Secret Seconds...and it doesn't smell like moth balls and cigars. Boosh.
Ahh...see for yourself:
Inspired again by the Pendleton archives, the designers reached back to the late 1800s and early 1900s to highlight the early square designs of that era. These designs predate looms that were able to create angular motifs, such as arrows, giving these new blankets and fabrics an exciting, innovative feel.
The quantities are super limited, so if you like what you see, come see us STAT.
And if you prefer a Pendleton neck tie...or if a robe (this is what you call the blankets,) or a pillow is just what you're looking for, sit tight. They'll be here soon.
