The Sensible Lady's Shoe

When I think of the elegant working woman, I immediately conjure an image of a 1930s telephone operating room. Rows of ladies with good posture pulling and pushing on wires all the while linking conversations from all over the nation.

Their style was professional and impeccable. Their sturdy wool skirts rose above their belly buttons and fell below their knees. Their hair was always curled to accommodate their headsets, and their lipsticks freshly applied. And their shoes...oh yes, the shoes...

Oh, to only imagine the sounds of a 1930s telephone operator's office! The tap-tapping of the machinery, the lilting feminine voices, accompanied by the crisp clicking of heels against marble floors...

Their shoes were elegant, yet comfortable. All-season, all-weather, all-purpose.

And one needed them to be fancy enough to take to cocktail hour after work of course!
Many of these "sensible" heels are cropping up these days. The kind that don't put you towering over your companions, but lengthen your legs and heighten your confidence. The expiration time of how long you can wear them is longer because of the shorter heel and cushion-y sole. And of course, the clicking noise is VERY crucial to the working lady look.
Here's some shoe eye candy for you to feast your eyes on...

(Faux python leather kitten heels!)

Now, you must be wondering, what can complete my sensible, yet stylish, working woman look? Why some colored stockings of course! Hue's got you covered.
