Re-duce, Re-use, Re-design...

First Friday has rolled around yet again...and tomorrow's show here at Betty's promises to be an interesting one. We will be presenting the work of laurie e. mitchell, a Missoula local and former attorney. Her show, entitled "Spring Fling," is all made of recycled and found materials sourced from her own home, friends, and the dumpster. This little guy is one of my favorites.

Mitchell's energetic disposition shines through in her work; happy little pieces each with their own personalities and background stories.

Mitchell truly believes in the power of craft on the soul and sees art as a means to renew oneself. Just as her materials were once trash, they become meaningful and serve purpose in her hands.

So swing by tomorrow night between 5 and 8 for wine and treats from Bernice's Bakery. You never know, you might even make some new friends...
