Kiss me!

Anyone else fall in love with Peppy Miller while watching the silent blockbuster, "The Artist"? Peppy is a modern girl who encompasses classic 1930s beauty, all without saying a word!
You ever wonder what kind of makeup a neat lady like Peppy Miller might have used? Look at those tears coming down her cheeks...with no mascara running! If so, you should check out Besame, a new line of cosmetics we have here Betty's. Besame, meaning "kiss me" in French, produces exquisetly packaged cosmetics made with natural ingredients. The black mascara formula is based off of a 1930s recipe, and even smells amazing! For some reason the picture came out small...

There is a certain romanticism to the Besame line. Creator Gabriela Hernandez, who has a background in art and design, was inspired to create the cosmetics because her love of feminine detail and fond memories of her glamorous grandmother. "I want to make a mark of what I am and who I was in the world," Hernandez explains, "I want to contribute something worthwhile through this line and inspire young women to follow their dreams." The lip balm is amazing, and comes in Sweet Rose, Cherry, Peach, and Tangerine. You can even use it as a rouge for your cheeks!
The lipstick is equally stunning, the packaging harks back how lipstick sold in the 1930s and even comes with a little velvet bag. The semi-matte lipsticks are all a variation on red, so if you ever said "Oh I can't wear red lipstick!", we have got the shade for your complexion!
And with this lipstick you may just be inspired to say to someone...."Besame!"
