Dia de los Muertos

Today is the day when we honor the lives of those we have loved and lost. While this is a Latin American holiday traditionally, we Missoulians have adopted it as our own. Here at Betty's we like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to the amazing Frida Khalo. Not only was she an incredible artist, an activist, and a woman ahead of her times, but she had fabulous style all her own. While her fashion sense was timeless, she rocked a few looks that are particularly happening right now~
The Scarf-Throw on for warmth or color, but wrap it around your head if you really wanna rock it!
Long Skirts - Yes, they're back! Embrace those hippie roots or go for that Granola '90's feel.

Braids and Silver Western inspired jewelry- Get creative and pile 'em on!

The Androgynous Look- From Bow Ties to Wing-tips, a lady in menswear is hot.

Don't forget to head on down to Higgins Street tonight for the Parade at 7pm!
Get your fill of Zombies and Skeletons...
Check out the beautiful woodcut prints form University of Montana art students...

Look for small, spooky brides and entire families of the walking dead...

And don't forget to stop by Caras Park for the Missoula Mandala. A one day only community art project!
And, finally, as usual the Festival of the Dead logo is awesome! We've got the stickers for $2 if you want to commemorate this years happenings and support this beautiful event.

!Feliz Dia!
