Mike Feeney.

Mike Feeney iscurrently an Adjunct Faculty at Diablo Valley Community College, instructor at the teaching foundry The Crucible, and foundryman/fabricator for a handful of professional companies including Zap Laser, Szaboworks, and his own Mike Feeney Designs. He graduated from The Academy of Art University in 2009 with an MFA in Sculpture. His artwork is aided by new technologies in fabrication and digital design, and extends from object-based cast sculpture to acrylic wearable fashion pieces. His fashion designs have been exhibited/worn on the runway for New York's Fashion Week and have been reviewed by several fashion-based web outlets. In fact, one of his designs was purchased by Lady Gaga and worn in her ubiquitous music video, "Poker Face".

Jen Bardsley, who many of you may recognize from our fashion shows and bike races and such, will be modeling this amazing ensemble at the artist's reception tomorrow:

Along with shoes and jewels from Betty's Divine! It's not often that such innovative fashions can be seen in Missoula...this is definitely an event to check out!

Artist's reception Thursday, October 6, 6:00-7:00 pm in the Gallery of Visual Arts.
