Holiday indulgence = the need for shapewear!

Women have been sucking their bellies in for hundreds of years. The mechanism to do so has certainly evolved, and thankfully, for the better.

Not sure what filled the gap between 1958 and 2000.....perhaps high-waisted jeans? Large belts? Jacked up tights?

Alas, for 2010, with the new and more friendly label of "shapewear, " we ladies can continue to smooth out our ripples in a more healthy, comfortable way. Especially with all the holiday cookies and cocktails ever present this month, a cozy girdle makes us all feel a little bit more comfortable under our slinky Xmas dresses, right? A smooth silhouette means more confidence.

If you've yet to don a pair of these wondrous garments, do not fret. EVERYONE wears them...they just don't talk about them openly. Gwyneth Paltrow always looks so shapely and smooth on the Red Carpet because she's not wearing a pair of Spanx...She's wearing two pairs!
