Guilt-Free Holiday Shopping.

The Holiday Season is upon you, and as you once again resume the annual quest of finding that perfect gift for all your people, the guilt inevitably sets in…because you can’t stop finding stuff for yourself! That nagging lil’ voice keeps telling you to stay focused and find that scarf you know your Mom wants, but you find yourself in the dressing room trying on leather pants!

Does this story sound familiar? You’re not alone…we at Betty’s Divine encounter shoppers such as yourself every day of December and we are putting our collective foot down! Tell those guilty feelings to beat it! When else are you hitting the downtown stores with such fervor, finding lovely things you didn’t even know existed in Missoula? The Holiday Season also means holiday parties and soirees for which you need a stunning little black, lacy dress… right? Definitely some HUE shape-wear for under that dress since you haven’t been able to resist that chocolate fudge your Grandma sent. Maybe some shiny, bright blue opaque tights and suede booties as well. A long strand of multi-colored gems, made by a local artist, and a giant $5 cocktail ring to finish it off. You can give the gift of looking good to those around you! There’s no need to feel guilty about it.

The Holiday Season also means winter is here, and this winter, Missoula is finally getting that arctic blast we’ve been waiting for! So, you definitely need a pair of knee-hi leather boots that lace-up the front or zip up the back, in black or brown or maybe even olive green--the perfect marriage of style and function. And a pair of over-the-knee Turkish cotton socks to poke out the top would be just perfect.

Now, let’s talk about coats. We live in MT. We need coats: A classic wool pea coat for strolling down Higgins Avenue; An Equestrian-inspired velvet blazer for your festive work gathering; A tough and saucy leather jacket for grocery shopping; A long fur-lined parka for covering your pajamas when you take your kids to school in the morning. Easy justification. And you also need sweaters for under those coats! Free People sweaters. Sweater dresses. Cardigans. Wrap sweaters. Over-sized sweaters. Soft ones, colorful ones, and ones with drapey necklines!

So go ahead, kick that nasty guilt to the snowy curb and pick up a pair of Saxx underwear for your man ($32), a knit headband for your 16-year-old niece ($18), a pair of Ray Bans for your brother ($129), a Latico wallet for you Mom ($80), a Montana hoodie for your Dad ($49), a pair of rose earrings for your office mate ($12), a belt buckle for your brother-in-law ($22) and that perfect ensemble for all your holiday errands and events. Christmas shopping has never been so fun and guilt-free!
