But, Coats. We live in a cold Northern state. You, in fact, SHOULD have many coat options.
To start off, keep it basic. You can't go wrong with one in black. It's particularly slimming when all the layers underneath add bulk to your normal frame, and they are perfect for highlighting all your colorful winter accessories like mint green gloves, sea blue scarves, celebrity smirks, and hot pink purses.
Make another one a camel colored Pea Coat. It's a lovely color that matches everything quite well, especially in the Autumn. This one is from Tulle, and it's $85!
A blond (aka white) wool coat may seem frivolous, but this is what you would put on as the Winter weather hits in lieu of the Camel coat. So classy. You'll feel like a french movie star.
Finally, you all must have a leather jacket in your rotation. Brown or black is good, but there's so many beautiful colors out there now, don't be afraid to brighten it up. They are great and tough with jeans and boots...but paired with a silky, pale colored dress, they are elegant in an Angelie Jolie sort of way.
Oh, and a man is pretty darn sexy in leather....
Faux fur is big right now, and it may be a lil overboard in a coat on a day-to-day basis, but is perfect in the form of a vest!
So, go ahead, add another coat to your closet this Winter.
