Born to Run.

The style of the equestrian has always been admirable, and now more than ever! Betty's has a great selection of equestrian-inspired boots and leggings for your Fall needs....pair either or both with a nubby scarf and a tweedy blazer and wah-lah! You will look like a stylish horsewoman!

First up we have these lovely sleek greenish-greyish boots from Miz Mooz.

They zip up the back and have a little snap closure...it doesn't get much better than that! And, their heel height is very walkable and standable.

These burnt umber (Um, I think that means reddish in color...) Miz Mooz boots have lots o' features. Just a hint of a lace-up in front....with buckles on the sides! Very vintage!

Lucky for you, if you're lazy like me and prefer to just shove your foot into your boot...you don't have to mess with either of these, there's a quick side zip for your ease!

These blondies from Seychelles are particularly special because you can fold them down, pirate-style or pull them up, over-the-knee style.

Their back zip is very attractive. They could be a nice update to any western cowboy boot.
They are so Noble Bandita!

We love to have at least one rain boot for all you shoe lovers...and this one from Chooka is quite a looker. They would have been quite useful this Summer with all the rain we got!

You could muck out the stables in style with these functional rubber boots!
Or even just clean up that dog poop in your back yard....

Rubber and tweed make a good couple.

Lael imagines fox hunting in these...

Disclosure: We would never shoot a fox. But, we would wear these Gee Wa Wa's!
They are the most classic of boots, perfect for years and years of enjoyment and walking and horseback riding!
We even spotted Carly, proprietress of BoomSwagger, playing kickball in them a few weeks ago!

Besides boots, there's a whole array of equestrian-inspired accessories and clothing to choose from these days as well. It is true that it could be a little much to wear them ALL together...kinda costume-y, yeah? A piece here, a piece there, and you've got a Fall look not to be horsed around with.

See how the equestrian leggings above add a stylish-yet-not-too-horsey feel to this desert Thunder Dome ensemble. Grey is pretty non-traditional as well.

Belts, bracelets, and bags with metal hardware and brown leather are pretty equestraintastic!
Blazers, period, do a lot for this look!

Here's another idea for the leggings, if you don't want to go full pony, but love leggings and enjoy updating your selection.

I am a huge fan of leggings, but I normally go black American Apparel...maybe I'll throw in an ankle-zippered pair now and again. I took a fashion leap and bought these camel-colored equestrian HUE leggings and have been loving them....even though the color kinda makes it look like I am going pantless...

But that's a fun look too, isn't it!?
