Betty loves a Demo Derby

August in Montana means the state fair-and with that comes the Demolition Derby! The Demo Derby is right up Betty's alley, and for the first time ever she sponsored a car!

We gathered the troops and went down to the fairgrounds to cheer on our station wagon and celebrate the end of the sale.

Lauren and his guys at Home Resource souped up this badass car and readied it for the rumble.

While we waited for things to get started we checked out the fashion scene in the bleachers. This Betty is doing the fair right in her white Seychelles (from the store!) and her adorable little dress. It takes a brave lady to dress this classy at the derby, and we gave her major thumbs up.

We love us some stunah shades.

This guy had a country fair look we could really get behind.

This was one of favorite cars from the first round. It was tough and the driver was awesome.

Karen got to try her first corn dog EVER! She liked it. We also ate a ton of Vikings. Yum.

The stands were packed. Who knew that this is such a popular activity for a summer night. After going, I understand why.

We enjoyed some delicious corn on the cob. Thanks Rainbow Girls! For the record: Fair food rules!

Somebody won his lady a stuffed cow.

Last year the police department sponsored a car. I guess they got kind of picked on out there in the mud.

There's our beauty in action!

Our sign fell off and they had to stop the derby to remove it from the arena. That was pretty exciting. But then we locked bumpers with another car, and after that we were pretty much left alone. Nobody wanted to waste their bumping and smashing power on a car that couldn't move. That was sad.

Here's the car that lead to our demise. Booooooo.

Lauren and his crew wore matching jump suits. You can guess how stoked we were about that! We were all there in our sale uniforms.

Our car made it out with relatively little structural damage since noone would smash into it. Next year it's gonna have better tires and be a real contender. Just you wait!
